YAHOO Seach: regarding Roland Moesch

Question: Does anyone know anything about a Roland Moesch in Bangkok?

He claims to be a Doctor and work for various Hospitals in Bangkok, yet he is not registered at any. He comes from Switzerland and has a work permit with C.Care Asia International Foundation. When I asked their Chairman, he said Roland Moesch no longer works for them. If you have any information on this guy, good or bad, then please pass it on.

Update 1: Dear Sir/Madam

You want and explanation regarding your employee Dr. Roland Moesch and the email I sent him. The Charity people that I contacted have tried repeatedly to contact the foundation office at Silom and could not speak to anyone there to make an appointment.

Then on of the volunteers of the charity went to the office and found no sign for the foundation. This was on the strength of Khun Nam's business card which had her address and the office phone numbers which I gave them.

I myself believe that the foundation is ok but its the people who were going to give the foundation the one million baht (THB1,000,000.00) who became suspicious when there was no reply at the office phone or no office when they went and visited.

You can I'm sure understand the resulting suspicions of the charity. The charity can't give the money in a vacuum.

Update 2: The charity would have

to justify why they are giving the money but there was no people manning the phones and no office when they went and visited.

Regarding Dr.Roland Moesch and his promises I have much to say. I have tried to do every thing possible to help him including giving him for the foundation THB20,000.00 as a donation. He has spit in my face metaphysically by promising me all manner of help regarding money for projects, money to continue to do the work of getting people over to entertain for His Majesty's birthday and raise funds for the foundation.

I even had my brother Stephen line up Bono from U 2 to do the Bangkok part of the Asian tour and Ronan Keating to do the Hong Kong, Shanghai and Tokyo part of the tour. This would make the foundation a lot of money. Roland said he had a HSBC check made out to me and even scanned a copy of that check to me.

What I cannot understand is why he lies and lies. I tried to get him on the phone on Friday 21st 2007 but of course he wo

Update 3:

My colleague waited 4 hours for Dr. Roland to tell him he had the check. Since I have know Roland there has been a history of broken promises.

The analogy with Dr. Death is that when you promise somebody something and build up their hopes and then have those hopes dashed to the ground because Dr. Roland really killed the dreams and aspirations of the person he promised promised to.

Dr. Roland writes me emails in the name of Mr. Koyama I know these emails are from Dr. Roland the style of writing is the same That is why it is best that he leave me alone because I do not believe a word that comes from his mouth.

RE: Question: Does anyone know anything about a Roland Moesch in Bangkok?

I worked together with Roland between 2004/2005 on different charity events. This guy is real and has a good track record of helping poor people. Its really incredible to hear all that pack of lies about him. He's an honest man and trustworthy. Some folks on this board better do some research before putting the saddle on the wrong horse.

RE: Question: Does anyone know anything about a Roland Moesch in Bangkok?

t’s an interesting development the Story surrounding Dr. Roland Moesch and the Foundation. I invested Money into Mr. Adrian Corners Project as well; yes we should start to talk about FOREX trading. Today as usual I visited the Office

which I did every Friday to check on the whereabouts about Mr. Adrian Corner. I was told the same story which I heard for the past three Weeks, that Mr. Adrian Corner did not return and that’s for me a sign that my Money has been lost for good till the Police catches him hopefully soon. I have seen another Criminal act today. Mr. Adrian Corner the man behind all the stories closed down the Foundation’s e-Mail Address. The secretary told me, that Mr. Corner was entrusted in creating the e-Mail at first. How come such a Person is still able to run free? Could you provide me with an answer?

RE: Question: Does anyone know anything about a Roland Moesch in Bangkok?

Hi , my name is Jack and when I lived in Bangkok during 2005, Roland became my "friend". I went to Sukhothai Provence with him on one occasion when we donated 4 or 5 computers to local schools. We also stayed the night at a small lodge which he said belonged to the Foundation. We also went to a disused ostrich farm which he said the foundation were in the course of reopening. His assistant Rebbecca was with us . We also visited a site where the land had been flattened to begin the building of an orphanage. I was hoping to meet up with him again as I wanted to help out his charity. Do you have a contact in Switzerland or Germany for the Foundation as I do want to help. (connel707@yahoo.co.uk)

Thailand : Foundation responds to Charity investigated

The Nation : Published on Nov 4, 2001

C Care Asia International Foundation has issued the following response to an article published in The Nation on April 29 entitled "Charity investigated: Mystery of the Missing Aids Kids" about the backgrounds of the foundation and one of its directors, Roland Moesch.

"Information concerning the investigation by the Makkasan Police Station on 'charges brought by the Labour Ministry' was misleading. This case concerns many false statements given in a letter to the Labour Ministry in November 1999 by a woman with a serious health problem. Two foundation directors were accused, Roland Moesch and Rebecca Rungsang. They were not informed or questioned as is usual and went of their own free will to the Makkasan Police Station to clear up the false statements made about them.

"Moesch did not state in a published article that there were five doctors in the project. He also never claimed to work at the hospitals mentioned in the article, although he has taken patients to both places to receive medical care. He gave no interview at the private charity exhibition in January 2001 because it was an inappropriate time to be interviewed when he was busy with guests. The reporter was asked to set a time some time in the future when it was more appropriate and was informed that there was ongoing defamation litigation and that an interview would be given later when the case was resolved. The appointed meeting at the British Club in February was not kept due to a patient emergency.

"Rebecca Rungsang was misquoted in the article. She said many people are not fully educated about HIV/Aids and have many unreasonable fears. She said that the foundation keeps a low profile and the children's home is not identified as an 'Aids' facility in order to protect the children's privacy. The privacy of Aids-afflicted persons is mandated under Thai law and medical ethics.

"The foundation's accounts are in order. All of the accounts of the previous years were properly prepared by the foundation's qualified accountant, audited by a qualified and properly registered auditor and signed by both the chairman and the treasurer. The board is not 'winding down' the foundation. The foundation stands in proper order. The previous chairman signed a written statement that the foundation is in proper order and has never been under police investigation.

"Regarding the reporter's attempt to locate the children's home, local authorities and those who assist the foundation are well-informed of the laws regarding protection of the human rights, and the protection of the dignity and privacy of people with HIV/Aids. The foundation has authorisation in writing from appropriate Thai government authorities for the construction of the Lighthouse Project in Sukhothai, and construction is proceeding.

"Moesch's medical qualifications are known to appropriate Thai government authorities, and he has the proper working permit to perform his duties for the foundation. Regarding the implication that Moesch went straight from 'training as a brewer in Switzerland before moving to Thailand', he began two years of vocational training when he was 17 years old in the early 1970s before going into the Swiss Army. Rather than being a shameful thing, he is happy to have learned a trade and learned how to work at an early age.

"Moesch originally came to Thailand in 1983 with an international organisation and was assigned to the Cambodian border at Aranyaprathet. He became an activist for Thais when he began to fight UN organisations there because the treatment the refugees received gave them a better life than the Thais who lived in the villages surrounding them. HIV/Aids was not a problem in Thailand at that time. Later he worked with the Burmese hilltribes and refugees. During his years working upcountry, he saw Aids become a growing problem and gradually began working in that field.

"The information regarding the fake aircraft purchase contract was incorrect. Moesch never signed such a document, and he also stated that he had never seen such a document before and that it was a fake. Some time before the article was published, the person who made the accusation stated, in a sworn statement before witnesses at Court, that Moesch was not guilty of any of the accusations made in his complaint, and the incident was resolved.

"Attempts by many foreigners to locate patients' places of residence and identities are a clear abuse of human rights. Moesch, as well as all the members of the foundation's board, are adamant that their patients' rights to privacy and dignity are protected according to the law. This policy is not unusual, as several other well-known organisations in Thailand and surrounding countries that care for people living with HIV/Aids have a similar policy."

RE: Question: Does anyone know anything about a Roland Moesch in Bangkok?

Two directors of C Care Asia International Foundation, Roland Moesch and Rebecca Rungsang, were in a letter (written in November 1999 by a woman) and submitted to the Labor Ministry accused of various wrongdoings.

Subsequent to that, the Makkasan Police Station investigated these accusations and articles focusing on Roland Moesch appeared in The Nation (www.nationmultimedia.com) and in Der Farang (www.der-farang.com).

However, as far as I know, no charges were ever filed against the two directors and both the Nation and Der Farang later issued semi-apologetic statements indicating that the accusations could not be proven.

In 2002, a Swiss company with limited liability was named Roland Mösch Steuerberatungen AG. Maybe that relates to the same person?
